Brookdale Preschool practices the Montessori Method of education, which is both a philosophy of child development and a rationale to guide this development. The Montessori philosophy realizes each child is different an individual needs and growth must be respected.
There are four general categories of materials at Brookdale Preschool:
Daily Living -Exercises in carrying, pouring, and sorting, which develops small motor skills.
Sensorial -Develops the skills of observation, with exercises in discerning color, texture, and dimensions.
Academic - Develops skills in mathematics and language development, with exercises in number and letter recognition, phonics, etc.
Cultural - Foreign language (French), science, geography, and creative arts are integrated into the curriculum.
Brookdale Preschool also offers music, finger plays, art projects, and Bible stories in a Christian environment.
